HOT SPOTS
Seasalter -- to -- Cold Harbour
Preston Parade in Seasalter is good spot in the winter for Flounders and if you are persistane in the summer there have been some very good Bass caught here. Seasalter is just to the west of Whistable

Whistable Harbour has limited amount of fishing at the end of the harbour wall on the left of the photo , you should not fish into the harbour channel ,this is quite good for Bass, Eels, Founders and in the autumn Whiting

The Street between Whistable and Tankerton is a low water mark you cant see it in this photo but when the tide is out The Street is a shingle bar that goes about a mile out to sea you cant miss it.

Hampton Jetty in Herne Bay is a very popular spot specialy with the young and old as there is easy parking toilets and can be fished high and low water , the ground to the left of the jetty is mostly clean but there are a few rocky patches , to the north off the end of the jetty there is a line of rocks which was the continuation of the jetty so dont cast that way you will get stuck, to the right its all clear, good for Bass at low tide and if you can get a quiet morning there is a chance of a mullet

The Pier in Herne Bay is on Central Parade you can fish off the end, you must not fish across the entrance of the break water this is used by boats and other watercraft and it would be dangerous to cast that way.The Pier only fishes for 3 hours either side of high tide but its only a short walk to the breakwater for about another hours fishing .

The Breakwater Herne Bay to the east north east of the pier this is one of the best Whiting venues in North Kent it is also good if the mackerel show ,there has been some very good bass caught here and the mullet fishing in the early quiet mornings can be brilliant the best time for the mullet is when the wind has been south westerly for 2-3 weks and the water is gin clear you must be very quiet and try to keep yourself below the skyline.

The Ship Inn to the Herne Bay Yacht Club this is one of the best all round areas in Herne Bay ,Bass ,dogfish, even smothound and skate have been caught ,when the mackerel came to the bay in 2008 this was one of the best places to get them . Some of us even had mackerel on the fly rod what great sport that was.
The Whiting fishing is good as well with dabs coming late in the year.

About 1000 mtrs down the prom from the Kings Hall towards Reculver is The Rand this is a real hot spot for bass in the summer , the whiting fishing here can also be very good .
Last year there was even a few Stingrays caught using Ragworm and fish baits

The Point at Bishopstone an excellent mark for Bass fishing every methord can be used, some very good results last year on the fly but ragworm and live prawn will also work well.Best time to fish is low tide after the wind has been sw for a week or so, walk out in waders till you are knee deep and you will find there are fish all round you .

Onwards down the coast you come to Reculver well known for Bass and Skate fishing the prom to the west of the towers is good for the novice angler with mixed fishing most of the year , under the towers there is a apron of rock ( mind its slipery ) but a good spot for the Bass and skate even smoothhound can be caught here from July to sept .

Cold harbour and the end of the Herne Bay club limits very good fishing if you dont mind a long walk Bass ,Smoothhound , Skate from spring through to autumn when lots of Whiting turn up .
