THE SLIPWAY'S OF KENT
The best slipway in Kent is in Herne Bay ,the main slip is some 50 + foot wide and is usable up to 3 hours before and after high tide ,on the left of the car park is the old slip and this can be used up to 4 hours either side of high water .CHARGES ARE DISPLAYED IN THE CAR PARK TO THE LEFT SIDE( BOAT AND TRAILERS ONLY) . IN THE SUMMER BE EARLY AS IT GETS FULL VERY QUICK.
t
This is the slip at Minis bay Thanet this slip is usable at all states of the tide, but to use any of the slipways you must apply to Thanet council for the gate keys www.thanet.gov.uk
West Bay slip at Westgate On Sea This slip can be used at all states of the tide but as you are launching on to sand a 4 X 4 is your best bet

This is the slip at the North forlands this slip is usable at all states of the tide but the best way is to launch on to the sand at the bottom of the ramp on a flooding tide and come in on the ebbing tide to the same place .You can also drive out to the low water mark but do take care because if you come off the hard you can become stuck in the soft sand and gullys

The slip at the western undercliff Ramsgate this slip is good at all states of the tide but be carefull on a moderate S-SW winds also the top of the ramp is quite steep off the road you would be better using a 4x4.
DONT FORGET YOU NEED KEYS FROM THANET COUNCIL FOR ALL SLIPS IN THANET

Dovers Marine Parade slip can be used at all states of the tide mind the wash from the ferries as this can catch you out. dont forget at Dover you must call Port Control before you approach the exit and enterance to the harbour ,i would advise a phone call to port control before you go if you hav'nt been before, to ensure you dont get it wrong it could be very embarrassing looking up at a 300mtr cruise liner steaming out .

Iam sorry but i dont know alot about the slip in Folkstone a phone call to the local shop in Folkstone may be able to give you more information .
